Good afternoon all,

Judge and I have some updates for Part 25/Part I. Please share with your colleagues/outside counsel and case managers (if applicable). If this does not apply to you, please disregard.

For Part 25: When filing an Order to Show Cause seeking to surrender an apartment, permanently place and appoint successor guardian (if applicable), please file this OSC first, and thereafter file the OSC to settle the final account and be discharged after proof of compliance with any and all actions relating to surrender, placement and disposal of personal items have been completed and settled.

Other Part 25 Motions: motions seeking to be relieved as guardian (Part 36 guardians), retain counsel, accountant, realtor, broker, etc., please provide the court with prospective person(s), agencies etc. for consideration.

For Part I: For the LT conferences, the case manager or supervisor is required to be present with counsel for the conference. The landlord will also be directed to have a representative with knowledge of the facts present as well, unless otherwise directed by the court.
